If you are like me, it is much easier to shop online and just have things shipped to me. This works in so many situations with one big exception: clothes. I have proven this to myself over and over again, and yet I continue to shop online for clothes. Fed up with a closet full of clothes that are too big, too small, I just don't like, etc., I've been slowly but surely giving things away to friends and coworkers and Goodwill. I like the idea of donating to Goodwill and getting a tax write-off, but I find that I will either 1) let things sit in my donation stack for months, if not a year or more, or 2) wearing clothes out of the donation stack when I'm feeling desperate. To combat this issue, I've started giving things to willing friends in order to get them out of my closet immediately. Now I just need to stop shopping online so much. I went to some stores with a friend last night, and this super awesome and amazing friend did the best thing for me ever. She made me try on pants in different sizes and cuts than I would have normally considered. I am happy to tell you that today I am wearing pants that fit and are also 2 sizes smaller than I was initially trying on. And best of all -- I'm already thinking about other outfit combinations I can make with these pants. Yay!
